This Privacy Policy governs the collection, use, and protection of information by Checklists for Jira, a checklist management application for Atlassian Jira developed and maintained by RMK Labs LLC.

This Privacy Policy explains how Jira Checklists ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our Atlassian Forge application.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Data Stored by the App

The App stores the following information in Atlassian-hosted databases:

• Checklist Data: Checklist names, checklist items (text, descriptions, status, sort order), and header information

• User Identifiers: Atlassian account identifiers of users who create or modify checklists (used for audit purposes)

• Timestamps: Creation and modification timestamps for checklists and checklist items

• Issue References: Jira issue IDs associated with checklists

2.2 Data Accessed from Jira

Through Atlassian's permission system, the App accesses:

• Jira User Information (read:jira-user): User profile information to display user details

• Jira Work Data (read:jira-work): Issue information including summary, description, status, priority, assignee, comments, and other issue fields

2.3 AI Agent (Rovo) Data Processing

When using the Checklist AI agent feature:

• The agent accesses issue information and checklist data to provide intelligent assistance

• Conversations with the agent are processed by Atlassian's Rovo AI infrastructure

• No additional data is stored beyond the checklist items created or modified through the agent

3. How We Use Information

We use the collected information solely to:

• Provide checklist functionality within Jira issues

• Track who created or modified checklist items (for audit and collaboration purposes)

• Enable the AI agent to assist with checklist management

• Maintain and improve the App's functionality

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 Hosting Infrastructure

All data is stored on Atlassian's Forge platform, which provides:

• Enterprise-grade security and encryption

• Data residency aligned with your Atlassian instance

• Compliance with Atlassian's security standards

4.2 No External Data Transfers

The App does not:

• Transfer data to external third-party services

• Use external analytics or tracking tools

• Store data outside of Atlassian's infrastructure

• Sell, rent, or share your data with third parties

5. Data Retention

• Checklist data is retained for as long as the App is installed on your Atlassian instance

• When the App is uninstalled, all associated data stored by the App is deleted in accordance with Atlassian Forge's data handling policies

• Data associated with deleted Jira issues may be retained until explicitly purged

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access your data stored by the App

• Correct inaccurate data

• Delete your data (by uninstalling the App or removing specific checklists)

• Export your checklist data

7. Cookies and Local Storage

The App does not use cookies or browser local storage for tracking purposes. Any local browser storage is used solely for application functionality.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is designed for business use within Jira and is not intended for use by children under 16.

9. Atlassian Marketplace

This App is distributed through the Atlassian Marketplace and is subject to Atlassian's Marketplace Terms of Use and Atlassian's Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes shall become effective immediately upon posting of the revised Privacy Policy. The date of the most recent revision will be indicated at the top of this page by the "Last Updated" date.
